Abstract

Polygons of identified significant convective cells and their predicted path up to one hour in the future. Attributes include severity and likelihood of associated severe weather phenomena, such as large hail. Data is generated by the KNMI CellWarn system, which performs real-time identification, tracking and path prediction and includes automated detection of associated severe weather phenomena.

Reason of deprecation: Version 2 brings structural enhancements, but maintaining quality and content. Notably, we have separated polygon data from underlying radar data for better clarity and usability. We have included an additional file containing individual polygons per weather cell, along with attributes providing valuable information about each cell, such as movement speed.
