Abstract

2-dimensional clouddata (IR brightness temp. and cloudmask) and cloudcover (total, high, middle and low) derived from sky brightness temperatures recorded with a scanning pyrometer. For more information about CESAR: https://ruisdael-observatory.nl/cesar/

Lineage statement Sky brightness temperatures measured in one scan are analysed with software of the manufacturer IMK (nubiscope.eu). These programmes are 'scope.exe' for realtime and 'oncemore.exe' for postprocessing. Details of the processing are proprietary and not available. Data are postprocessed with IDL routine 'correct_nubiscope.pro' before the data are published.
