The CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) model provide a high-resolution wind forecast (every 5x5 meter windspeed and wind direction) for vicinity of the lock at IJmuiden.

Lineage statement Input is Harmonie wind at 10, 20, 30 and 40 meters height and data from a database with for each grid point a reduction factor in wind speed and direction caused by the environment (e.g. buildings).
Purpose Calculate an accurate wind speed and wind direction for the IJmuiden lock, so that it can be determined whether ships are still allowed to pass trough this lock.
Use limitation CFD model was specifically commissioned by and for the Port of Amsterdam and may not be open data for security reasons.
