Abstract

Current operational HARMONIE information in gridded form for the European domain. The P3 package contains meteorological near surface parameters for almost the whole of the model domain mostly at levels close to the surface and up to 300 metres, reprojected to a rotated lat-lon grid of 0.05° in both directions. In addition there are also a few parameters at pressure levels, to enable a look at the synoptic conditions that HARMONIE calculates.For this weather forecast model, KNMI works closely with Iceland, Denmark and Ireland on local short-term weather forecasts under the name "United Weather Centres-West" (UWC-West). An international project team is working on a joint Numerical Weather Prediction model (NWP), procurement and management of the HPC (supercomputer) and infrastructure. The output frequency is 1 hour, the forecast horizon is 60 hours.

Data quality notice

HARMONIE cycle 46 is still in the experimental (test) phase. The dataset therefore may be not be complete at first.

Only the last 72 hours of HARMONIE p3 data are retained.
