Abstract

Precipitation data for weather stations near the rivers the Meuse and the Rhine based on SYNOP data from automatic weather stations. Stations are located in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. Files are uploaded every 6 hours (00, 06, 12, 18) and contain the amount of precipitation in millimeters. The 06-hour and 18-hour also include the snow height in cm. Additionally, The 06-hour file contains the minimum temperature in d˚C, and the 18-hour file contains the maximum temperature in d˚C.

Note: This is a temporary dataset for the transition of the public FTP server products. In the future, this dataset will be replaced by a SYNOP dataset with a more complete list of weather stations. Access to this has therefore been set to restricted, but will be granted upon request.
